w/c 28th Feb Movements in & out

Post by charterboy »

Heard that this week has been a busy week for movements in and out using the mainline connection

55022 out for Mainline Railtour
56312 in for Diesel Gala
44871 out for Tyre Turning - did this go to Tyseley ?
67??? in to collect 71000
67??? & 71000 out to Southall for 71000 mainline tour
55022 due back 21:45 this evening after mainline tour

Does anyone know the id of the 67 as I believe it was one that has not worked on the line before ?
Also interested why 71000 requires a diesel for a light engine movement South ? Can anyone shed any light

Presume next week will see 56312 depart with 50008, destination unknown

I asked the very same question of the 71000 trust and i was told its cheaper to have it dragged than to go under its own power???
The group have decided that all light loco moves will be hauled buy a diesel now due to cost.
