Impressive Shots Mike. That second one is timeless. I opted for a good old tradional 3/4 front shot at my home station of Whiston. No.45407 can been seen storming the 1 in 96 incline during a brief dash of sun.

Phil,

Saw that on your site and on UKRP.
I assume from the angle of the shot that this was from the end of the station at Whiston. Is that a 'newish'' station ?
The only 'Whiston' I can remember was an out of use Hunslet 0-6-0st
(young un's call 'em J94's) at Cronton colliery, which I presume is now a housing estate !

is there another yuletide running this sunday?

Yes Mike, you are quite correct. It was taken off the edge of the platform. As far as I know, the station at Whiston was opened around 1990, although don’t quote me on that. I also believe the Saddletank called “Whiston” now resides on the Battlefield line.

The times for next Sundays run can be found here. http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t08/t1221b.htm

If you haven't seen them, I have posted 4 videos from onboard the York Tuletide Express last Sunday,

If you PC will do it watch in HQ or HD, the picture is much better than standard.

just got back from watching it go through smithy bridge and well done to the loco crew for another exelent run saw two of you hanging out of the left hand side of the loco and you looked to be enjoying yourself.

and it must have been working hard out of rochdale as it is about a mile away from smithy bridge station and i could hear it leaving.
