Railroad pictures and video from Canada

Post by SD40 Snoot Nose »

For those that may be interested I have posted some pictures and video on Fotopic/YouTube from my travels in Canada. If you like long big heavy trains you will like these.

Video's on YouTube

A rather sick GE loco hauls a train out of Field, BC. Lot's of smoke.

The same train from Field enters the Lower Spiral Tunnel and passes over its own train. At one point in this video the train can be seen in three different places. This train is over 110 vehicles long. The train enters the tunnel, after a few minutes it passes over itself, then passes behind the tree's, nearer the camera.

Chasing and pacing trains between Calgary and Medicine Hat.

Some trains highballing through Banff, some long double stacked container trains.

The Rocky Mountaineer train at Banff, if you have deep pockets this is a good trip.
