To marmite on toast.
My grandson loves it. With pickled herring.
As to the little jobs. Someone has to do them to keep our stations nice.
Keep on going with the head held high

Don't know why other departments don't do a bit of a report. It could be that they're short on cake.
Anyway. Does anybody know ANYTHING about the tower clock at Rwt. I guess it was renewed when the tower was redone in fibreglass 2005.

Re: The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 27-06-2021.
Just to add to Alan's remarks: 1) The fault indication on the BBS fire alarm isn't the best. The only clue that it may be the batteries is that no zone was showing. Just "fault" So that only leaves the sounders and the batts. On opening 'the box', the clue was there: batts dated 1996. What...

They have to do something for their paycheque and inventing daft names for storms seems about right!

Re: The Electrical Volunteers report Sunday 19-01-2020.
A few bits to add to Alan's monologue. We repaired one of the blue buttons at bbs barrow xing. Helped free off a water tap (no, nothing to do with electrics) When we recovered the Christmas lights from Heywoid, the weather had taken it's toll on the (not) weatherproof box for the plugs and sockets f...

Does anybody know where the 2nd frost stat in Tate Towers is?
The 1st is in the mess room in front of you as you come in.
I need to find it as I think it's permanently operated and trying to bring on the heat. It fails because there is a 2nd fault!

Re: The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 15-09-2019.
I see you hid the Swiss roll until I'd departed!! Sod's law regarding the last twin fitting in STD4. The only one we couldn't test as it was built-up on site. The 'new' drum clock on P2 seems to be OK after our messing with it beginning of August. (Remember it used to gain 10 or 20 minutes on a rand...

The Electrical Volunteer's Report Sunday 14/07/2019
Jonathan, Len, myself - Clive today. We took the last four lamp heads to Summerseat today. All re installed and tested ok. So that's all the lollipop lamps refurbished. The complete program takes us three to four years. Prospect of starting again probably in 2021! Giving a five year cycle. Fire alar...

The Electrical Volunteer's Report Sunday 30/06/2019
Just 3 of us today; Colin, Jonathan, Clive. The fire alarm at The Trackside was tested as usual and the results logged. We couldn't do the alarm in the main building as somebody had locked the room with the fire panel. Then, with table outside, we tested and checked the wiring of the lamps from Summ...

So tempting to do a clock that keeps "brexit" or "metric" time coordinated to railway timekeeping/timetable! 50 minute hours spring to mind.
All best wishes and hope all goes to plan for 80097 on Saturday.

Re: The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 27-01-2019.
Yes, as Alan said, we went up to Rammy to investigate the platform 2 clock (for which we had made a drive mech last year, or was it 2017?). We managed to unscrew the glass. Four nasty old screws. Then to unscrew the face. Some t*** had used security screws. But they didn't defeat us! Lifting the fac...

The Electrical Volunteer's Report Sunday 09/12/2018
Today, Len, Jonathan and myself, Clive. Report that Christmas lights had come down at Rawtenstall. So train up there to sort it out. On arrival, not as bad as feared. Just one section down. No smashed bulbs. Refixed with new and bigger ties. We need to sort out the ladders up there. They're being ke...
