Right section?

Don't appear to have an electric section but this is the nearest. Arriving at some point in the next week or so will be class 86/AL6 86259/E3137 'Les Ross' for some modification work to be done under contract by ELR staff.....and yes, before anyone asks it isn't the first AC at Bury. Classes 81-84/A...

5392 is outside C & W and is not for scrap but is to be used shortly for filming purposes and netting the ELR a considerable sum..............

61994 'The Great Marquess' is now expected this week (Thurs). 46233 already here ,1501 expected on Wednesday.

UK Railtours will again be visiting the ELR on Saturday 30 June. Train originates from London Euston and will terminate at Bury Bolton Street, where the passengers will then change onto ELR services which will both be strengthened considerably for the day. Alan,

As with most things, there are 2 sides to every story and the 'new' dryers run at a considerable cost saving to the railway. This is certainly not 'another waste of money'.
However, they are of no use if they are not working and we are not aware of that fact. Will be resolved shortly.
