Thank you to the fiolk we can trust to get a good job finished. I have suggested other ways that men on the box keep warm via kindling & logs but I need to discuss further with the 'Boss Man' on this. Blimey Phil, you mean now that you have found the outer reaches of the Rossendale Valley and re...

There may not be anything on the 5th Floor but the full details are in the very latest issue of the Heritage Railway Magazine but although it does give the timings, it clearly states they are provisional

Looking at the Cumbrian Mountain trips from Crewe via Manchester to Carlisle, I suspect that in reality it will follow the same route and that is via MANCHESTER VICTORIA and NOT Piccadilly. Just a thought but talking to men who actually work on the railway in the Manchester area, they are of the sam...

OK lets try this....

Crewe, Stockport, Manchester Piccadilly, Bolton, Preston to Lancaster - diesel hauled.

NOW look at the 'Fellsman' trips and look where steam comes on ..............

Yes...........LANCASTER.

And I suspect it may well also come off at Lancaster on the return.

Just a guess!!!

Cotton Mill 13.02.2010

I have received news that 46115 has failed again, this time at Eccles.
It is understood that the big end has gone.

This has come from a fried already on the train, they are currently awaiting a diesel to haul the train back to Carnforth.

Can anybody else confirm this??

Gents The plans for Buckley Well, sorry the Heritage Railway Centre, yes this is the official title given by Mr Vickers a week ago at the Council Meeting, were published in an ELR New magazine within the last 12 months I think. Once we have the infill, it will come by road to Ramsbottom, be unloaded...

Shredder, Mark Mc, 40445 & Dave Extra. Thank you for your very kind offers which I will be glad to accept. As this is not until August, there is time to get things sorted out. I am up to my eyes at this moment with the HRA Visit this Sunday, so could I ask that you each send me a Private Message...

The ELRPS Display Stand will also be there. This is due to my involvement in bringing the Museum on board with the ELR in general. I have had meetings with them and at one of them I mentioned that we have a Hymek which was built entirely at Gorton, so its no wonder they wanted it, in fact my hand st...

James There is already an L.M.S. Society which is very active and has a prolific amount of historical archive material. To the best of my knowledge it has been inexistence for the best part of 50 years, so my guess is that anybody who wants to be LMS orientated will already be a member of theirs. So...
