Tried both and don't like either! I really think that this little problem gets too much publicity - the answer is to simply login through the private message access or delete cookies in the browser .... it isn't a problem then! I don't think that's the answer and it's not a proper solution. Logging...

Can you not update to phpBB3? I've deployed it across a few sites and it doesn't seem to suffer from the "double log in bug" Alternatively, SMF do great forum software that is really easy to use. James Tried both and don't like either! I really think that this little problem gets too much...
