marflow wrote:Can you please requote that cpc number. 96872 matches no products and cpc usually have two letters at the beginning e.g. TL96872 (which doesn't work either!!)

Clive
That's because it is a Screwfix product code. For CPC try D00391 or D02236.

:D That was a good reply, you don't fancy helping us out to test & prove the new wiring do you? Next Sunday you know were we are. Alan. I spend all week trying to keep them in a fit state to run as it is, weekends are my time off from coaches. Should he bring his own loco to help with the test?...

Re: The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 16-9-2012.

After lunch it was back to the Santa carriage to finish off the cleaning and wiring of the control units, it appears that this carriage had been causing problems with the ETH for some time according to Lee Kenny and Simon. John found out after some testing, that it appears that three out of the fou...

Re: ETH

The ETH supply is 1000 volts (ish). Designed to give lots of watts at a lower amperage for heating down a long rake. (It's the amps that cause losses in cables). So I wouldn't have thought ETH supplies were suitable for galley use etc. As Mike has pointed out 1871 is currently fitted with a motor-a...

Couple of suggestions to make regarding the issue of the lights on the air brake set now it's hopefully been on charge for a day or two... 1) Can someone suitable down at Bury go and check the current lighting situation on the air brake set and report back? 2) Given the "shared fate" of t...

Re: The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 11-7-2010.

We then had a phone call from our leader M.V. to check out the blue and white brake coach attached to the Howson bar car, apparently the internal lights were not working, we checked the lights on the brake first with the guard and they were working OK then the lights on the Howson car were checked ...

I have repeatedly seen that for myself directed at both working members and paying visitors alike - and I wish that sometimes people woul...
